In a tricky maiden, Wise Son gets the vote ahead of Eastbourne and Foreign Rhythm. Running through these and Eastbourne showed enough promise despite running green on his debut to be given some thought tonight. Foreign Rhythm has run well on each start, reaching the frame in both, and she should be given plenty of thought too. Kinlochard appeared to show some promise on her Folkestone debut, despite finishing last of the four runners. This said, Ronsai finished ahead of her on that occasion, clearly appreciating the drop back to the minimum trip from her debut effort. With her stable in good form, she could go well. Mandarinka showed enough on her Bath debut to suggest that there is better to come, while Mistress Cooper is another that showed debut promise, that run having come over course and distance. Wise Son, who looked as though he would improve for the run that day, was just behind her on that occasion and can improve on that effort, the form of the race having been franked by the success of the seventh-placed runner during the week. Finally, Perfect Flight has also shown some promise but, for the selection, once again, we will side with Wise Son.
