Full Spate has a penalty to overcome, but with none of his rivals in sparkling form, Milton Bradley's charge is the pick, ahead of Mirasol Princess, Chatshow, Mimic and Double M. This class 5 handicap should hold no fears for Full Spate after his return to form in a Ripon claimer recently. He was confidently held up before coming through to beat Rudi's Pet, and should make a bold bid to land this, having won over the course and distance exactly four years ago to the day. Although he has struggled of late off his current mark, connections will be disappointed if he does not make a bold bid against this lot. Mirasol Princess is a course winner who will appreciate the move back up to six furlongs so is seen as a danger, while Chatshow was unlucky in running behind the selection's stablemate Currency at Warwick. Mimic has a bit to find on latest evidence but should be noted in the market, and Double M has gone off the boil since enjoying a purple patch during the winter. Sir Edwin Landseer was a Listed winner for Paul Cole three years ago but has been plying his trade in Dubai with only a modicum of success, and will struggle if the ground changes, and so in a race that will not take much winning despite the numbers, Full Spate is the pick.
