Power Politics, Race to the Music, Rag Tag and Imperial Lucky are the only four runners to go to post in this maiden to open the card and the vote is given to Power Politics. The selection is only a tentative choice as Godolphin's string are hardly setting the world alight at present but this gelding is related to a 2-year-old winner in the US and he might just be good enough to make a winning debut. Race To The Music is the other debutant and he is another well-bred sort who is sure to know the time of day on his racecourse bow. The market will provide the clues as to the respective chances of the newcomers but our narrow preference is for Power Politics. Rag Tag is sure to come on for his racecourse bow but he was well beaten at Windsor that day and will need to improve to score here. Similar comments would apply to Imperial Lucky as she showed up well on her debut at Beverley although she was helped by the high draw that day. However, in a tricky race for punters to call we will stick with Power Politics who is given the tentative vote.
