In depth

Verdict

A tough race to round off the card and the most tenetative of votes goes to Moves Goodenough ahead of Lady Friend and Rawdon. The selection has responded well to the application of blinkers and whilst there may be some doubts over the suitability of soft ground (disappointed on only previous try), he comes here as the horse in the best form and can win again. Lady Friend makes her handicap debut today in a weak race and has proven herself on ground with some cut in so she should be closely monitored for market support. Ganache steps up in trip which might suit, whilst Libre should have come on for his recent outing but is still only moderate. Mixing is a course and distance winner but is very exposed, whilst Rawdon knows the job and is fully effective in these conditions. Moves Goodenough however is in good form and gets the nomination.
