Chinalea can prove up to the task ahead of Nautical, Kempsey, Caustic Wit and Louphole. All those mentioned have leading claims, but Clive Cox has his team in good order at present, having had three winners and eight placed in the last fortnight, and that augurs well for the chance of Chinalea who can prove the pick of the bunch. The four-year-old ran an absolute blinder at Sandown last Friday, blasting out of stall one to get to the far rail, and leading everywhere bar the line where he was nailed by Malapropism. He handled the fast ground well, and a step back up to six furlongs on this quick reappearance can pay dividends. Nautical has been ultra-consistent in defeat since scoring over the course-and-distance in April and it is not hard to see him being involved in the finish yet again, while Kempsey has just one all-weather success to his name but does go on this ground and gave an honest account when third on the Lingfield Turf course last time. Caustic Wit has to shoulder a penalty for gaining his first victory in two years at Bath the other week so has more to do, and Louphole steps up a couple of grades so is up against it, especially against Chinalea.
