    Verdict

Mrs Crossy can gain her third career victory at the expense of Peggys Flower, Splendidio and Diminuto in the seller. Ryan Moore rode the winner of this event last year and has leading claims again, this time on the Richard Hannon inmate Mrs Crossy who has won two of her last three outings. The daughter of Alhaarth is bred to get a lot further but has been confined to five furlongs so far, picking up wins on the all-weather at Kempton and Lingfield, but she has some experience on Turf and can make that count here, with the step up in trip a plus factor. Peggys Flower will also relish the extra furlong after just being touched off by Queen Of Narnia in similar company at Folkestone. She is going the right way and looks just the type to make her name in nurseries later on. Splendidio meets the selection on the same terms as when beaten half-a-length at Lingfield and therefore looks held again, as does Diminuto on two lines of form. The market should be noted for the rest, but Mrs Crossy has obvious claims and is the one to beat again.
