    Verdict

Loriko d'Airy had form over fences in France and is interesting switched to the larger obstacles for the first time since joining Charlie Mann but a safer bet may be Jarro, who is preferred to Tanikos. The last mentioned was well beaten on his return at Plumpton earlier this month and may need another run to put him spot on so is probably best watched for the moment. Nicky Henderson's gelding still rates a bigger threat than Gary Moore's Batswing, who would prefer a faster surface. The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Master Papa has yet to show that he is as effective over fences as over hurdles but is well treated as a result and cannot be dismissed entirely but a better bet looks to be Jarro. Venetia Williams has her string in really good form at present so the chances are that the eight-year-old will improve on previous form this season, most latterly when a fair third behind Multeen River at Warwick. Jarro looks the one to be on.
