In depth

Verdict

Ishallak’s dam has produced winners with her first two foals to race and Ralph Beckett’s stable is firing on all cylinders. It would be no surprise to see his debutant in the firing-line if he handles the ground. Morning Skye can only improve on a debut victory at Newcastle but may find it tough carrying a penalty in the ground. King's Proctor also has 7lb extra to shoulder but has a bit more experience and the way he stayed on over a mile at Nottingham in the autumn suggests the extra yardage here will be right up his street. SEVENNA STAR has Dante and Derby entries so will need to win this if those hopes are to be realised. He’s had wind surgery since placed efforts at Sandown and Nottingham in the autumn and looks the one to beat.
