In depth

Verdict

Stanford is having a first run on Turf in decent company. Pinnata was far too keen when making the running at Newmarket in a race that’s worked out well. If more amenable to restraint here. Stuart Williams’ charge could figure. Marshal Dan won over 7f at Chepstow last time and is only 2lb higher. He has form over track and trip while Gallipoli was third at Sandown after winning at Redcar. Nugget also arrives in decent form and a case can be made for both World Title and Canal Rocks but LOVE DREAM’s third at Newbury could not have worked out much better with the winner following up at Newmarket and the runner-up winning easily at York last week. Michael Blake’s six-year-old can come good racing off the same mark.
