The toughest race on the card to assess has been left until last, Willheconquertoo must be in with a chance, along with Ela Figura, but we will take a chance on Brigadier Monty. This son of College Chappel hasn't managed to win for over a year but looked to be hitting form last time when finishing a close up fourth behind Paddywhack at Beverley. Add to this the fact that the champion jockey is hanging around to ride him and you have a horse with solid claims. Willheconquertoo bounced back to winning ways here last week, easily accounting for some seasoned performers and another bold run is expected. Ela Figura comes into the reckoning after running with promise in both handicaps and maidens recently. Pulse has been a nightmare to follow this season but is likely to pop up sooner or later, but on this occasion we will give the vote to Brigadier Monty.
