Tsaroxy gets the vote in the opener with Shamardal and Corker put forward as the principle dangers. The selection made a promising debut when well supported at Newcastle last month. He went off favourite that day when third behind John Forbes and as the ground wasn't ideal, he should take all the beating on this more appropriate faster surface. Shamardal is a well-bred colt by Giant's Causeway and with Mark Johnston enjoying a fair level of success with his first time out 2-year-old's this season, he has to be respected. Corker showed a modicum of ability on his debut when down the field behind Gee Bee Em at Bath, and as he's sure to come on for that run he is another worth considering. Stretford End is another that catches the eye on breeding but may do better in time, and for the winner we return to the Howard Johnson-trained colt Tsaroxy.
