In depth

Verdict

Sting Like a Bee and Party Ploy are the two we like here and we will give the narrow preference to Sting Like A Bee who is put forward as the one to beat. The selection won well on this track last time when defeating Lucky Largo, and with the step up in trip unlikely to inconvenience him and conditions to suit he could be able to take the sting out of his rivals. The booking of the useful claimer Nicky Mackay is another plus. Party Ploy is the one we fear the most as he is dropped slightly in grade after running well in a competitive handicap at Carlisle. The winner of that race Loves Travelling has since on to run really well at York and as Party Ploy is in such great heart at present he will not be far away at the finish. Lucky Largo is weighted to reverse the placings with our selection on their running at this track last time, but he has since disappointed over further and with doubts about his stamina over this trip he is opposed on this occasion. Of the remainder, Templet is from a shrewd yard and could have place claims, but we will stick with Sting Like A Bee as our idea of the winner.
