Bienvenue was an impressive winner here last time and can follow up at the expense of Gironde and Incursion. Marcus Tregoning's filly had shown plenty of ability before comfortably out-pointing a large field of maidens here last time. She gets in here on a very fair mark and looks set to go from strength to strength. Gironde is the Michael Stoute representative and must be respected following some decent efforts in maidens and in a valuable handicap at Royal Ascot. Incursion has solid handicap form including a close up third behind Penzance in a similar event at Nottingham last month should relish this extra distance. Best of the remainder could be the Martin Pipe trained Nantucket Sound, but Bienvenue appears to be on the upgrade and gets our vote.
