The forecast wet weather which is predicted over the weekend could scupper the chances of many with the best form coming into the contest should rain arrive and alter ground conditions. Red Somerset was well treated at Ascot last time and the quick ground on the straight at the Berkshire venue aided his cause. His best form is reserved for quick ground which is a cause for concern. The exposed but consistent Moonlight Man has returned to form with a bang in recent weeks. He does like to dictate and is unlikely to get things his own way on the front end. Brave Hawk is another that likes to race on the pace but looked to be unsettled by being tackled for the lead and been forced to race a shade quicker than Philip Robinson desired last time. If connections opt to track the pace today it will give him more of a chance. Lordship is a horse that likes to get his toe in and if the ground eases he would come into calculations. If the predicted fast pace materialises, a hold up performer like him will be suited. The unexposed Rum Jungle is up 6lb for a Newmarket victory over seven furlongs and is steadily on the improve. He could emerge the biggest threat to the selection who is Lordship.
