Satwa Laird is given the nomination despite the fact reservations exist with regard to the worth of the form of his maiden debut over the course. Green in the early stages he stayed on well in the closing stages and should benefit considerably for the experience although the second and fifth have been beaten subsequently. Satwa Laird holds some big race entries most notably in the Champagne Stakes, Middle Park and next years Derby and if he is to justify any of those, he ought to go very close. Exceptional Art deserves respect given connections but the Chapple-Hyam yard continue to struggle while Auld Arty was stepped up to seven furlongs for his second start where he set out to make all. The drop back to six furlongs will suit while the Terry Mills yard have hit a vein of form in recent weeks. Richard Hannon's record with his juveniles speaks for itself at this venue and market support for Bartica should be taken onboard given the fact the yard have a line through Satwa Laird with another of their charges. Art Correspondent has the same connections as Exceptional Art so how they compare in the market is worth monitoring while Tom Dascombe's Going Going Gone is another whose place in the market should point one in the right direction of its chances. Satwa Laird is selected to land it.
