Verdict

Gerard Butler thinks highly of Tarfah and she is taken to reward her trainer's patience with another lightly raced filly Cut Short and Rafferty rated the main dangers. The selection made a belated debut when winning a fillies' maiden at Ascot last month in good style and she is taken to follow up and begin to make up for lost time. Cut Short confirmed the promise of her Goodwood debut when making a winning return to the same venue in June. The half-sister to Daggers Drawn is bred to be useful and there may be more to come from her. The remainder look more exposed with Rafferty probably the pick of them. Clive Brittain's gelding has shown improved form in handicaps of late and this looks an easier assignment. Linning Wine is yet to win a race this year and is probably best watched again, while Jewel Of India has given little sign of encouragement since returning from a hurdling campaign. Jools and Kentucky King make limited appeal in a race that is taken to go to Tarfah.
