GLOUCESTER is preferred in this finale; Michael Scudamore's gelding can complete the hat-trick at the main expense of One Mix and Turjuman. The selection's most recent win came at Haydock where he made all the running and showed a good attitude to fend off the late challenge of Saloon. Formerly thought of as a horse that does all his best work on the bridle, there is no doubt that he comes here in top form and he is fancied to defy his 5lb higher mark now returned to the flat. Darayal is a fair hurdler but has his own ideas about the game, whilst Admirable Duque drops in trip and runs without the blinkers tried last time out. Onemix steps up in distance today and this will need to elicit some more improvement, whilst we know that Turjuman is effective over this trip as his course and distance success shows. He may not be harshly treated off a 4lb higher mark however we prefer the claims of Gloucester who is nominated accordingly.
