Unless the newcomers prove to be anything out of the ordinary with Tom Dascombe's Oasis Dream colt Jonny Mudball looking the pick of them, this really should lie between HAJOUM and Bended Knee, with preference for the former. The selection has run well in all three starts so far, latterly when beaten at odds on behind a potentially decent runner from Andrew Balding's stable in Rapid Water and he looks worth another chance today. Simon Dow has his stable in good heart at present and his runner, Space Station, ran better when narrowly beaten by Bawaardi in a Lingfield maiden last time so he has to be respected. John Spearing's Nativity has had plenty of chances and is proving to be expensive to follow and of more interest may be Jamie Osborne's newcomer the Royal Applause filly Clincher. Henry Candy's Bended Knee has found one too good in each of her two starts so far, latterly when a close second behind Diktat Queen at Chepstow, and she rates the main danger to the selection, Hajoum.
