Shogun Prince and Calzaghe both come here in good form, however Shela House was progressive last season and with a recent run under his belt, he gets the nod ahead of Polish Red. A winner here last season, Shela House was relatively unfancied on his recent run at Great Leighs. That may have blown away some of the cobwebs and with the step up in trip expected to be within his range, with plenty of stamina on his dam's side, a big run looks on the cards. Dakiyah has been running consistently of late but as a result is not getting any slack from the handicapper, whilst Fregate Island has been in fine form on the all-weather and if translating that to the turf then he should be there or thereabouts. Calzaghe boxed on well to win at Southwell last time out and the handicapper has only dealt out a 2lb rise in the weights. Polish Red has form here and should be all the better for a recent outing, whilst Olimpo likes this course but normally needs at least a run or two before he hits full stride. A decent handicap this, with Shela House fancied to oblige.
