In the November Handicap, the vote goes to Peppertree Lane, with his main dangers reckoned to be Scriptwriter, Zero Tolerance, Group Captain and Book Of Music. Peppertree Lane is one of the most improved handicappers in training, having already landed a couple of valuable races this term. A six-pounds rise for the latest of them should not stop him from going well again. Scriptwriter is another improver that could well appreciate today's trip and he rates as a major player. Already a Listed winner this season, albeit it over a mile, a step up in trip today could well bring some more improvement from Zero Tolerance, and he can go well. Group Captain comes here relatively fresh and his good Ascot run last time showed that he was on the up, while Hearthstead Wings looked to be on the way back last time and is well-weighted on the best of his form, while Book Of Music is also on the up and today's trip should suit so his chance uis respected. Overall, though, the selection is Peppertree Lane.
