Rose Of Petra is selected here ahead of Hazy Days and Fretwork. Rose Of Petra has shown solid form this season, her Folkestone run behind Emerald Wilderness from today's mark last time looking a decent effort (the winner will by now have run at Goodwood on Thursday). She can go well, particularly as she is stepping up to a mile-and-a-half for the first time today. As can Hazy Days, a winner of each of her two starts and, given that she would have been an unlucky loser at Lingfield last time, a seven-pounds rise may understate her ability and she can go well today. Tebee showed improved form and a good attitude to score at Pontefract last time and she is entitled to some thought, while Fretwork's form is pretty solid and Harvest Joy has four lengths to find on her based on their recent course and distance runs. Given that she is four pounds better off for the four lengths that she finished behind Fretwork over course and distance on July 16 (the race in which Harvest Joy was seventh), Maid To Believe cannot be ruled out of things either. For the selection, though, we will stick with Rose Of Petra.
