Verdict

Ocean Blaze gets our vote here ahead of Spiffing and Doulagi. Having been raised seven pounds for his Bath win, Ocean Blaze ran well from his revised mark last time over course and distance. The only unproven factor is the going but he can still go well, we feel. Spiffing has shown that he can act on the going although it was only a four-runner affair in which he was second at Brighton last time on easy going. Three of Diminuto's four wins have come on Southwell's fibresand and she maybe has to improve on Turf if she is to score, while Doulagi showed improved form on good to soft at Salisbury last time and the drop in trip today could well suit this freegoing type. Come What May now has it to prove from her revised mark, while Princess Ileana and Camissa need to show improved form, we feel, if they are to score although, of course, soft going can be a great equaliser. That said, we will still nominate Ocean Blaze as the selection.
