Paul Nicholls is a dangerous man to ignore at his favourite track and again looks to have a useful candidate for further honours at this level in the shape of Leading Attraction. The son of Mister Mat came through smoothly under Paddy Merrigan and readily out-battled Flight Leader in the closing stages. The leading pair pulled well clear of the rest - creating the impression the opposition may not have been the strongest novices on the current scene. Triggernometry had experience of the course and came here as a likely contender. However, he emptied quickly from a furlong out and was well held. As was Star Double, who was leaden-legged near the finish but still completed at the head of the chasing pack.
