Janus du Cochet, second to It Takes Time off a mark of 135 at Cheltenham in December 2001 when last seen, has to be respected but, along with Noel Chance's Ready To Rumble, a long absence from the track is a worry and a safer bet may be Wild Knight, who looks to have been found a suitable opportunity. Admittedly the selection, a bumper winner, failed to trouble the judge in five starts over hurdles and was well held on his chasing debut last month but he undoubtedly has ability and, if the main dangers lack for peak fitness, Wild Knight has the ability to beat the remainder. Janus Du Cochet was easily the best of these over timber but it is impossible to know how much ability he retains, a comment that also applies to Ready To Rumble. Jeff King's Lord Nellson and Chris Popham's Dalcassian Buck, both well beaten over fences last time, are probably the best of the rest but are unlikely to trouble the selection Wild Knight.
