Derek O'Connor's presence in the saddle may hand the initiative to SAINT GERVAIS, who makes his debut under Flat rules. A dual winning bumper and hurdler, his rider was on board for both bumper victories and he can take advantage of the allowances. Justification was having only his third start when scoring at Dundalk in November. The fact that he hasn't been seen subsequently and returns in this low-grade contest is a concern but this superbly-bred close relative of several high-class performers could do with making up for lost time. Tornedo Shay was in fine form over hurdles at this time a year ago but hasn't done so well this summer while Domination needs further. The remaining trio can't be ruled out in a tight little event.
