In depth

Verdict

Beat The Band has had her chances but ran well enough behind The Real Article at Tipperary to suggest she should make the frame again. Littletown Lass lacks a finishing burst but she may not need one in the modest contest though ATHRONAN will be difficult to beat if making the expected progress from her fine second to Stigh Collain at Downpatrick. Tear Drops, who went into the race with more experience, could only finish fourth and looks held. Ta Blazes made a very promising debut behind The Grey Express at Ballinrobe but didn't quite live up to that form when only fourth behind One Cool Tornado at Sligo.
