There was plenty to like about the way Predator romped to victory in his latest start and he may have too much heart for Percussionist and High Day if this boils down to a scrap for the line. It will also be interesting to see how Tous Chez fares on his hurdles debut and is worth noting in the betting market. High Day has a double penalty after wins at Hexham and Uttoxeter highlighted the promise he showed on the Flat in Ireland. However, he ran no sort of race when favourite for a Listed contest at Haydock last month and now has something to prove. He also concedes in excess of 7lb to the rest of the field and it will take a good effort from him to come out on top on these terms. Percussionist - fourth behind North Light in last year's Derby - won well on his hurdles bow at Carlisle and obviously has a touch of class about him. However, he was also very disappointing when he was upped in grade last time and, as he showed no willingness for a battle at Sandown, he looks one to be wary of for the time being. Therefore, it can pay to stick with Predator, whose Doncaster success was achieved in the manner of an improving individual. Noel Fehily was met with a willing response when he asked the German-bred gelding for effort on Town Moor and the partnership will be hard to get past with a similar performance this afternoon.
