Golden Jeffrey was placed at Musselburgh just 10 days ago but this is tougher and a couple of these have recent form over course and distance. Cornborough ran well for second here having won on the Flat before that but RAVEN’S TOWER is just preferred. The latter was beaten less than a length when third in a tight finish last month and Ben Pauling’s charge is taken to come out best with a conditional taking 7lb off his back today. Beeno still looks high enough in the weights and Vendor is having his first outing since going close here back in 2016. Melody Of Scotland arrives out of sorts but is still preferred in this grade to Desert Island Dusk.
