Adam Pogson claims a very useful 7lb from Initiative's 11st 12lb top weight, which just gives his mount some sway over a bunch of very moderate rivals. This James Hetherton-trained gelding was only narrowly beaten over course and distance last time out and deserves a second chance. However, his lack of form on muddy ground is a real disadvantage. So the TEAMtalk vote goes to Colonial Sunrise. This five-year-old is yet to lose his maiden tag, but has ran into the places in the majority of his races. He is proven on heavy ground and will have learnt a lot for his run over course and distance earlier this month, when he clearly needed the run. Tarashani is worth watching for improvement. Trained by Brian Ellison, this four-year-old ran twice over course and distance last season, once behind Quazar in a Listed event, and only ran out of steam late on last time out. Joey The Schnoze wasn't beaten far in a seller at Sedgefield last month and has shown glimmers of form over hurdles; he could be an interesting prospect. While his stablemate, Rainbow Chase, has yet to set the world alight with his jumping prowess and is best left alone.
