Tee-Jay can defy a penalty to beat Sandy Gold, Midnight Gunner and Middleway. Tee-Jay responded well to first-time cheekpieces at Hexham just four days ago, storming home by no less than 25-lengths, and with just a 6lb penalty today, it is hard to oppose Micky Hammond's 10-year-old. Granted he does seem to go better round Hexham than elsewhere, but with conditions not a problem, and the opposition not that strong, he is a confident choice to follow up under Graham Lee. Sandy Gold is still a maiden but went well in a first-time visor at Kelso 10 days ago, finishing second to Lambrini Mist, so expect another similar effort here. Midnight Gunner is not the force of old and has topweight, but it is not hard to see him being placed, while Middleway is exposed but put in an improved performance at Hexham last time. All in all, the claims of Tee-Jay are undeniable.
