A competitive affair, with Quality First getting the call from a number of the others who look to hold chances. Running through the field. Royal Auclair has looked more like himself on occasion this season and is now back to a winning mark. Turgeonev is four-pounds higher than for his most-recent win but had looked very useful to that point. Tim Easterby will be able to place him to good effect again, we feel sure. Hescondido is certainly racing from a winning mark and should be fitter after a recent run following a lay-off. Juralan is only three pounds higher in the ratings than for his most-recent win and, only lightly-raced, could yet have better to come. Quality First is now a pound lower than when winning at Bangor in March, so he comes into the equation too. All of Sir Storm's wins have come at two miles, but Tremallt looked rejuvenated at Wincanton last time and is capable of putting in a good show. Asparagus is rated five pounds higher now than for his most-recent win, while The Rile races from out of the handicap. All in all, then, we'll side with Quality First in this interesting contest.
