In depth

Verdict

Lease Lend could be of interest on his reappearance having shown plenty of promise in bumpers but a better bet looks to be Panthera Leo, with Breaking Storm rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is another that showed plenty of ability in bumpers last season but Howard Johnson's gelding has had the benefit of a run this season over hurdles. He again showed promise behind Jass at Kelso on that outing and is taken to use that experience to good use here. Oxford de Lagarde should improve for his hurdling debut effort at Bangor recently but needs to if he is to trouble the judge, while Ragador has shown only a modicum of ability in bumpers so far. Breaking Storm has shown a decent level of form in bumpers and over hurdles and has to be respected but Panthera Leo has solid claims and he gets the vote.
