Peter Paul Rubens looks the pick of the weights in this conditions event and is taken to beat Will He Wish and Josh. Paul Cole's four-year-old is head and shoulders above these rivals on official ratings and has contested some high class events this season. His recent fourth in the Totesport Handicap at Newbury was an outstanding performance and a repeat of that effort would easily be good enough to take this prize. Josh was beaten four lengths by the smart Cupid's Glory at Chester last time and in receipt of six pounds from the selection he should make a bold bid. Will He Wish is getting a bit long in the tooth but is still very capable as he proved when beating Swift Oscar at Sandown recently. Meanwhile Subpoena is from a top yard and although a shade disappointing this season has to be respected. So a very good turnout for this modest prize and Peter Paul Rubens looks the best option.
