The shortlist contains Mirth, Auction Room, Opera Comique and Midris, with the vote going to Mirth, but keep a close eye on the betting. Auction Room's second to Nihal last time has been boosted by the winner landing a nursery off a mark of 76 last time, so that form stands up to inspection here and he can go well. Henry Cecil's 60,000 euros son of Fantastic Light, Fantastisch, is one of the newcomers to catch the eye. Midris made late headway on his Newmarket debut and is another to consider, while the Richard Hannon-trained Mirth, who cost 155,000 euros and has attractive breeding, gets a big shout. From the John Gosden yard, Opera Comique can be expected to improve on what was a promising Salisbury bow, and Yes Dear is another that is entitled to improve for her debut. Finally, with her stable in form, Pairumani's Girl can't be entirely ruled out but, overall, the vote goes to Mirth, but the betting might provide your best guide.
