Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

One of the newcomers, Soviet Cat's the pick here, ahead of Manhattan Dream and Polmaily. It¿s not a race to get too excited about; Soviet Cat is David Arbuthnot's only runner of the afternoon; he's got Chris Catlin on board and a decent low draw. Market support could be interesting. Polmaily sets the standard, but it's not that high, and is one of only three of the eight runners to have an official rating. Placed twice in his 6 starts, his best run came on debut, but while he's got plenty of experience, hes not come close to winning yet. Manhattan Dream's been off the track for 279 days; previously raced in a higher grade she was looking the progressive type, so as long as she's not got rusty could well be in the shake up. But in the absence of proven quality, we'll go for the newcomer Soviet Cat.
