Salon Prive, Mynd, Cashel Mead and Pulse are the quartet for the shortlist and the vote is given to Mynd. The selection ran really well over 6f last time at Catterick when a close fourth behind Legal Set. That was a competitive race and he had a poor draw that day. The drop back to this more suitable trip will suit him today and although he is not ideally drawn again, we think he looks the value call. Salon Prive won easily last time at Lingfield when beating Lady Pekan. He is in good form at present but is another that hasn't been done any favours by the draw. He should go well and it will be a surprise if he is not able to make the frame. Cashel Mead was a little unlucky at Wolverhampton last time when the gaps failed to appear in time and he finished third behind Gone 'N' Dunnett. That form has since taken a knock and with a strict form line through Gone 'N' Dunnett another runner here Pulse should have the beating of Cashel Mead. Pulse has been in good form of late but he looks to have it all to do from stall 13 today and he looks worth opposing. This is quite a competitive handicap but we will stick with Mynd as our idea of the winner.
