Verdict

In the finale, Fear To Tread gets the vote ahead of Alexian and Coda Agency. Fear To Tread showed promise as a juvenile and returned for the season with a fair handicap debut. He is up a further furlong in trip today and, having been dropped two pounds from that first run, he looks poised to go well today. Based on his Chester third last time, the consistent Alexian should go well, although Is It Me is closely weighted him based on that 10-furlong run. Coda Agency was unlucky in running at Bath last time so could be on a reasonable mark while, from the Barry Hills yard, Foreign Envoy can't be dismissed, although on his form he is hard to fancy. Finally, based on an improved effort at Bath last time, Golden Sprite cant be ruled out, but Lucky Lark has yet to build on his Wolverhampton win. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Fear To Read.
