In an interesting Listed race, Spinning Queen shades the verdict ahead of Bouboulina and Rosinka. Spinning Queen comes out the best of these based on official ratings, and a Nell Gwyn second and 1,000 Guineas sixth have earned her that accolade. Bouboulina's Listed second at Epsom last time, a race in which this week's Jersey Stakes winner Jeremy finished third, earns her a lot of respect too. In fact, on literal form using the Jersey Stakes winner she has nearly two lengths in hand of Spinning Queen. Oceans Apart looked good when winning at Chester last year in first-time blinkers but was then beaten at Listed level. However, she could yet improve for the seventh furlong today. The well-related Rosinka looked good when romping to maiden victory last season and rates as interesting starting off at this level today for 2006. Quite simply, the others need to improve on what has do far been shown in order to feature. All of which returns us to the selection, Spinning Queen.
