Hunt Hill (IRE) Recently reverted back to hurdles after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at fences; ground and trip will not pose a problem and he is well treated on his best form but seems to have lost his confidence and is probably best watched for now.
Handy Lass Capable sort who won over course and distance last season; should handle the conditions okay, but she is 11 now and has not been at her best so far this term, so likely to find one or two too good here.
Guard Duty Has won his last three with head in chest, all at Taunton; the handicapper clearly has not got his measure yet, and although this is a step up in trip, he is going to prove very hard to beat.
Native Field (IRE) Twice a winner in heavy ground last month, before being well beaten in a better race last time; certainly seems to relish these conditions, but does seem well-exposed and probably has place prospects at best.
Shepherds Rest (IRE) Has lost his way over fences this season and reverts back to hurdles; hard to see this one playing a part in the finish.
Oh So Wisley Has improved since winning over course and distance in November; good win over three miles on latest start, and seems to revel in these ground conditions; slight doubt about his temperament, as he tried to run out the time before last, but if he behaves himself he must be thereabouts in this race.
Hubert Improved effort to win over course and distance in January in similar conditions; however, this is a much harder race and it would be a surprise to see him follow up.
Boundtohonour (IRE) Pulled up over fences recently, having earlier won at Catterick in first-time blinkers; first run over hurdles for some time, and not one to place any faith in.
Maybeseven Pulled up only run this season; probably needs further than this, and unlikely to be good enough anyway.
Beechfield Flyer Only wins have come at Leicester, and he's been bang out of form lately.
Evening Chorus (USA) Running well on fast ground last summer, but likely to hate these conditions and probably outclassed anyway.
