        Verdict

        Not a competitive handicap and Garnett looks good enough to defy a 5lb rise and follow up his recent Redcar win, with Adversane next best and both Nimra and Disintegration others considered. The selection should not be inconvenienced by the drop back in trip and goes on the ground, and he was not stopping last time. he holds his form on both the flat and over jumps pretty well and we will take him to score. Adversane was not beaten far over this trip at Goodwood last time and has been raised a little as a result. On breeding he should not really get this far but he seemd to do that day. However, of more concern is his lack of form with juice in the ground and so he is opposed. The filly Nimra has handled soft ground before and was a staying on second to Artless over this trip at Musselburgh last time. She races off the same mark of 70 here and can clearly again be competitive. of the others, Disintegration acts with cut but steps up in trip here and that is not certain to suit, so preference is for Garnett.
