PEARL has dropped in the weights and is preferred here to Watchmaker and Ready To Crown. Alison Thorpe has her horses in fair form and this Daylami mare certainly has the ability to win a race of this ilk. She has been dropped 3lb since her last run in May and with a good record on soft ground she won't mind any further rain that falls. Ready To Crown continues to run with credit in defeat but ultimately she finds winning hard, Acapulco Bay is a course winner but he needs to improve for the visor, whilst Robert Thornton got a good tune out of Grand Article when they teamed up 216 days ago. Lemon Silk has plenty of ability and is chucked in on his old form if back to his best, Star Of Memories makes his handicap debut off a mark of 92 which may be lenient, whilst Tarkesar should strip fitter for a run at Towcester last month. The step up in trip may suit Watchmaker and the Tor Sturgis-trained son of Bering looks an interesting contender in this easier race. The market should have its say, however without that information we are happy to stick with Pearl.
