PLUTOCRAFT is surely worth another chance and we'll give him one; the consistent Kilt Rock rates a threat alongside Chinese Democracy and Hulcote Rose. Our selection was supported to make a winning handicap debut at Leicester but raced away from the pace and could do no better than fifth. The money that arrived suggested someone thought a mark of 70 was generous and as it's now been adjusted to 68 it's surely worth giving the gelding another chance, especially with his maiden form appearing strong and the fitting of a first-time eye-shield perhaps enough to bring about more improvement. Kilt Rock is 7lbs higher than his sole handicap success but remains of interest having placed off this mark last time. He had to work hard to get a handy position at Lingfield and could well improve further. Chinese Democracy is having her 14th start here and still hasn't won a contest, but she wasn't beaten far off this rating of 53 last time and comes into calculations. She looks suited by conditions as seven furlongs is the right trip and first-time cheek-pieces could help her to focus. Hulcote Rose hasn't yet reproduced her all-weather efforts on turf but has only had three tries on grass and looks well-treated if she does prove as good on it. Similar comments apply to Prince Of Sorrento who is 6lbs lower than when last successful but that was on Lingfield's polytrack while Gypsy Boy is capable of better but does have plenty to find with Chinese Democracy. In a tight contest, Plutocraft is given another chance.
