MY MATE MAX is the tentative suggestion in a trappy handicap where all of the runners make some degree of appeal. Moonbeam Dancer has proved pretty consistent in the main and is open to improvement on grass but she was reluctant to enter the stalls when last seen and finished well held. Two Oclock John has had two starts at Lingfield and needs to prove himself on turf and looks no more than fairly handicapped. Bell Island has won for Seb Sanders and is handicapped to play a leading role but hasn't been the easiest to win with on turf. Corredor Sun, Edgefour and Moon Star are all better known as jumpers these days but may not be done with at this game and it will be interesting to see if there's any interest in them in the betting ring with all three yards engaging top jockeys but the default option is My Mate Max. He hasn't been a frequent winner but won over course and distance at the back end of last season, followed that up with a sound run at Newmarket and remains feasibly weighted.
