An interesting maiden where it may be worth taking a chance with WHERE'S ROMEO if the market gives out the right vibes ahead of Reposer, Lovat Lane, Boundaries and Darwin Star who have all shown ability. John Fretwell isn't averse to having a tilt at the ring so it will be interesting to hear what the market has to say about the chances of Where's Romeo who's a speedily bred brother to juvenile winner Hold On Tiger. The yard are already off the mark with their juveniles so they should know where they stand. Da Ponte and Layla's Princess are other newcomers to take the eye on paper and both hail from yards that are capable of readying a debutant whilst plenty of those to have seen the racecourse have shown abundant promise. Reposer did best of the newcomers in a conditions race at Ascot, Boundaries made good late progress at a big price, Darwin Star was very green at Windsor but finished well whilst Lovat Lane only narrowly missed out at Beverley and the placed horses have run well in defeat since. Interesting fare, Where's Romeo is the call.
