Alfred Sisley could just be good enough to defy a penalty for his recent course and distance victory, with Eastern Dagger, Pride Of Kinloch and Parnassian also on the shortlist. Paul Cole's horse put up a gutsy performance to win here last month and this Royal applause gelding probably has enough improvement in him to defy a five pound rise in the weights. Eastern Dagger hails from a stable in great form and his easy maiden win at Wolverhampton will have given him some confidence on his return to turf. Pride Of Kinloch had Kieren Fallon on board when third to El Coto on her handicap debut at Doncaster last time, with Parnassian a length away in fourth. The form of that race looks pretty solid and both are likely to run well here, while Wedgewood |Star put up a much-improved performance to finish fifth in a valuable sales race at Ascot last season and would have an excellent chance if able to reproduce that sort of form.
