In depth

Verdict

The Dazzler completed a double late last year and was elevated into Listed company last time at Turffontein where he ran a fine race. He'll be thereabouts but has a big weight and ODD ROB looks the one to beat. Gary Alexander's charge, runner-up in a Listed handicap at Turffontein in November, hasn't run since landing a tough handicap back there a month later but will be ready for this and can add to his seven career victories. He had Throng back in third in that latter event while Dan The Lad has done most of his racing, and winning, over shorter.
