LUCCOMBE BAY may be able to follow-up in a race that may have more strength in depth than seems likely at first glance. Yoursomethinelse and Gallileo Figaro are amongst others to bear in mind. John Quinn's mare was having her first start since April and just her second for the yard when routing the field by twenty six lengths at Sedgefield. So far so good but a second look at her handicap mark reveals that the handicapper has dished out a 23lb rise in the weights so she has a much stiffer task on her plate here. Villochely is worth a second look on her handicap bow but has plenty to prove and others have stronger claims in the book. Treaty Flyer would be feared if the market were to give out the right vibes on her debut for Alison Thorpe as she has some fair form to her name if you go back far enough. Yoursomethinelse makes the journey over from Ireland and has a top pilot booked and has run well here the last twice but is up another 4lbs. Delray Beach is capable on her day but isn't the easiest to catch right and Figurita may prove to be a bigger danger if going the right way from her maiden success at Exeter. One more to bear in mind is Gallileo Figaro who didn't go on from her debut but is unexposed and comes into the race on the back of a more encouraging effort on the level. A number can be given a squeak here but Luccombe Bay is taken to keep the handicapper at bay. (Ian Ogg)
