Richard Woollacott has made a fine impression in his first season training under Rules and Allerford Jack should go well for the thriving yard after battling on gamely to score at Worcester last time. However, he has a 7lb penalty for that success and the progressive 5-y-o WHISTLING SENATOR is awarded the vote. He'd been narrowly headed when falling at the last at Market Rasen on his chasing debut and has plenty of scope for improvement over fences. He looks on a reasonable mark but a 6lb rise for failing to complete that day looks harsh. Delgany Gunner is having a stellar season with three wins already and only beaten less than a length the last twice. He's 25lb higher than when scoring here back in May over 2m5f but cannot be discounted from any calculations in his current high form.
