A big field maiden hurdle is next on the agenda and LAMBORO LAD gets the call over Chesapeake and Rival D'Estruval. Peter Bowen is known for his summer jumpers and Lamboro Lad looks another type that could well thrive for the yard. The selection made a pleasing introduction in a decent novice event at Aintree three weeks ago. His jumping wasn't great that day but he is entitled to be a lot sharper for the run after a lengthy absence out. He still looks a little weak but as the year goes on he is sure to improve and with the recent good weather I think he may have come on a tonne. Jonjo O'Neill's Chesapeake is officially the best horse in the race but has a 186 day absence to overcome. His form tailed off at the end of last year but soft ground was probably to blame. He has plenty of form on quick ground so if Jonjo has him fit and well he'll be in the mix. Rival D'Estruval is one of the least exposed sorts in the line up and was given a beautiful introduction when fifth in a good bumper at Aintree. A market check is strongly advised on Timmy Murphy's mount. Peter Sent and Douglas are others to note in a tight affair.
