In depth

Verdict

Though a further step up in trip is an unknown, KING’S PROCTOR didn’t do a lot wrong when only headed in the closing stages over 2m1f at Cartmel on Monday. If this doesn’t come too soon, he might get the better of the more-exposed Clay Rogers who is starting to look one-paced. The latter’s yard also run the four-year-old Island Nation but he’s had a break and is the second string on jockey bookings.
